"The Orleans is a fantastic, low-key off-strip property to use as your home base in Vegas. If you don't mind being a few minutes away from the main Strip, it offers an excellent, comfortable stay without the overwhelming 'in-your-face' luxury and massive price tags of the newer resorts. The dining options here are surprisingly solid for a casual, off-strip venue. Alder & Birch Steakhouse inside the casino is very good and hits the spot for a proper steak dinner. If you just want something quick or casual, they have decent options like Ondori Asian Kitchen (solid Chinese food), Sbarro, and a 24-hour Fuddruckers. The property is clean, the staff is pleasant, and the amenities are huge, including a massive, full-scale bowling alley on-site that I haven't tried yet but looks impressive. Highly recommend it for a reliable, sensible place to settle in while visiting the city. Also typically enjoy Copper Whisk for breakfast or lunch or brunch as well as Bailiwicks for a decent dinner that won't break the bank."

"We came to the Orleans hotel and Casino to watch a friend play in a poker tournament. They always have poker tournaments there. Plenty of up-to-date video and slot machines. Plenty of places to eat. It's an older Casino but still a very fun place to go live music Bowling and other activities. A lot of things happening. They have a nice lounge stage and some good bands. The Boyd casinos seem like they are one of the few that still have great lounge acts."
